My sister gave birth to a baby girl on May 18th. The little one was in intensive care the first week and here is a picture of her six days old. Today she will travel to a remote village in Western fjords in Iceland, she will live on a farm. Her father is a sheep farmer and Avalanche research worker. Several villages in this area has been destroyed be avalanches.

This is considered the most dangerous area in Iceland to live in. The landscape is arctic and the West fjords are the most remote areas in Iceland. The small fishing villages are loosing more people every year because the fishing quotas has been sold away and there is no work left.
