Easy and free way for slides with sound

I am trying out a free and easy way for my students in Iceland to have slides with narration on the web.  Maybe it is not so easy, there are four steps:

  1. Save powerpoint show as jpg
  2. Insert the jpg slides in new Windows Moviemaker project, narrate slides, save narration and save movie
  3. Upload movie into Photobucket
  4. Paste into Elgg blog or wikispaces

I wish we have Slideshare.com with narration. That would make this task easier. But powerpoint, moviemaker, photobucket and elgg are all easy tools that many students already master so it is just using these tools for something new. Students who have trouble using Camtasia could use this method. They do not need to insert the movie into photobucket, they can upload it to my files in elgg

Photobucket seems much easier to use than Youtube.
